The Bulldogs return to Ruston after a 1-2 loss to Southern Miss last Sunday.Â
Mackenzie Lorkowski added eight more saves to her season total, bringing it to 85. If she manages to continue recording her average of 8.5 saves per game for the rest of the regular season (seven games) she would end with 144 saves. That would put her into the top three all-time career saves in just her first season.Â
Off a free kick from Ashley Leonhart, Caroline Martin scored her first career goal. She stood around the far post and headed a perfectly placed ball into the bottom of the net.Â
This will be the inaugural match of the Radiance Technologies I-20 Showdown, a season-long competition between LA Tech and ULM.Â
ULM makes the 35 minute drive to Ruston with a five game losing streak. Most recently, they lost to Arkansas State 2-3 last Sunday. Fifth year Ines de Lope Casanova is the leading scorer for the Warhawks, with three goals. Guiding ULM is first-year head coach Antony Blackburn. He previously spent time as an assistant coach at LSU and head coach at academy teams in Europe.Â
