The Bulldogs (4-10-2, 2-5-1 SBC) make the three hour trip down to Lafayette to try and push for a spot in the SBC tournament. The 'Dogs are coming off a 4-0 loss to Old Dominion. They will need a top eight finish to earn a trip to Foley, Ala. Currently, they sit at 12th, with seven points. Georgia Southern enters Sunday at the 8th spot, with 10 points.Â
The Monarchs held the Bulldogs to their worst offensive game of the season, with just four shots, one on goal. Mackenzie Lorkowski recorded seven saves, bringing her season total to 113. That launched her past Courtney Tompkins to now stand at 6th all-time in career saves for the Bulldogs. If she has thirteen more saves, she will set the record for most saves in a single season in the 23 years of Bulldog soccer.Â
The Ragin' Cajuns (9-5-3, 3-3-2 SBC) have had a rough October, with a 1-3-1 record in their last five games. They have not won since Oct. 3, when they played Southern Miss (2-0). Most recently, they lost 3-1 to ULM on Thursday night. The Cajun's leading scorer is Miku Kurihara, with 12 goals. That is second in the SBC and tied for 14th in Division-1.Â
The last meeting between LA Tech and UL-Lafayette was last season, a 2-0 win for the Bulldogs on Aug. 21. Peyton Wiseman scored one of the goals, assisted by Madison Pensom.Â
