RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech women's soccer will have their second Conference USA road game in a row as they head to Boca Raton, Fla. to matchup against Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Oct. 16, at Noon inside FAU Soccer Stadium.

ABOUT LA TECH (5-7-3, 3-2-2 C-USA)
Louisiana Tech improved to 3-2-2 in Conference USA after winning back-to-back conference matches against UTSA and Middle Tennessee.
Tech outlasted the Blue Raiders in a 4-3 offensive show that saw Tech freshman Flavie Dube have the first multi-goal game of her career while scoring her first career game-winner.
Dube leads the Techsters in goals (5), points (11), and shots on goal (11) and is second on the team in shots, with 16, behind junior Maci Geltmeier (17).
The four goals scored tie a program record in Conference USA action, matching efforts at FIU in 2021 and UTSA in 2017.
Tech currently sits in fourth place in the C-USA standings, two points behind North Texas for third with three matches remaining.
Tech will be searching for its first three-game conference win streak since 2017.
Sydnee Korchak leads Conference USA in saves per game (4.71), and ranks No. 2 in C-USA in saves (66), behind UTSA's Jil Schneider, with 67.
Korchak has posted three shutouts this season and boasts a .733 save percentage while allowing 1.71 goals per match.
LA Tech has used 19 players in starting roles this season, with only three starting all 15 matches.
Tech has scored in four straight matches, their best streak of the season, and have netted eight goals in that span. Since the start of conference play, Tech is tied for the second-most goals scored in the league with 11.
ABOUT FLORIDA ATLANTIC (7-6-3, 3-3-1 C-USA)
Florida Atlantic comes into Sunday's matchup tied for fifth place with Western Kentucky with 10 points, who beat the Owls 1-0 on Thursday.
FAU and WKU are just one point behind LA Tech in the standings heading into Sunday's slate.
Before falling to the Hilltoppers in Bowling Green, FAU racked up two home conference wins, earning shutout victories over Charlotte (2-0) and UTEP (6-0). The six goals scored is a season-high for the Owls and the most goals scored in C-USA action this season.
In the 6-0 win over the Miners, senior midfielder Thelma Hermannsdottir earned a hat-trick with goals in the 14', 53', and 87' of the match.
FAU is led on the field by graduate student Bri Austin, who has compiled 15 points on five goals and five assists during 2022. The forward from Miami, Fla., has started all 16 matches alongside Gi Krstec, a redshirt senior midfielder, who leads the team with 21 shots on goal, and has scored four goals and added two assists on the year.
In goal, the Owls have used both Blythe Braun and Lexi Gonzalez this season. Blyth, a 5-8 freshman, has seen four starts in non-conference action allowing only one goal while earning nine saves for a 3-0-1 record.
Gonzalez, the junior from McAllen, Texas, has started the remaining 12 matches, including all seven C-USA opportunities, netting 37 saves while allowing 14 goals. Each goalkeeper has posted three shutouts and combined for a shutout as well.
FAU has only allowed four goals in conference play and has yet to concede multiple goals in a C-USA match.
THE SERIES
Florida Atlantic leads LA Tech all-time 3-2-1 as the two programs prepare to meet for the seventh time in their histories.
This will be only the third trip for Tech to Boca Raton, where they have been beaten 2-0 and 1-0, and the first since 2018.
All six previous matches have resulted in a shutout between the Techsters and the Owls, with three seeing over-time.
Tech and FAU have met twice on neutral fields in two Conference USA tournament matches, once in 2016 in Charlotte, N.C. (L, 0-3) and their previous matchup in Denton, Texas (L, 0-0, 2OT, 4-3 PKs).
Tech's two series wins have both come in Ruston, both in 1-0 overtime wins, including the first-ever meeting in 2014 and again in 2019.
