Louisiana Tech will compete in its seventh Conference USA tournament since joining the league in 2013 as the No. 4 seed in the bracket.
LA Tech finished the regular season unbeaten in five of their final six matches to qualify for their first tournament bid since 2019.
Three Lady Techsters,
Flavie Dube,
Josie Studer, and
Emma Jones, were announced to the 2022 All-Conference teams earlier today.
Flavie Dube becomes the first player in program history to win conference Freshman of the Year. She was also named to the All-Freshman team and was Second-Team All-Conference as a forward.
Dube led LA Tech this season in goals (5), assists (4), points (14), and shots on goal (12) in her first season in Ruston.
Senior captain
Josie Studer was named Second-Team All-Conference as she picked up her fourth-career All-C-USA selection. Studer was All-Freshman in 2019, Third-Team in 2020-21, and a Second-Team selection last season.
Junior captain
Emma Jones picked up Third-Team honors after starting 17 of 18 matches and ranking No. 3 on the team in points (9). She scored three goals and picked up two assists.
She scored two goals in a win over FAU in Oct. of this season which earned her Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week.

Sydnee Korchak has started 17 matches this season and leads Conference USA in saves per match at 4.94. She ranks No. 2 in Conference USA in saves, with 84.
The former C-USA Goalkeeper of the Week is one save away from moving into the program's single-season top-five saves category.
ABOUT FLORIDA ATLANTIC (9-7-3, 5-4-1 C-USA)
Florida Atlantic comes into the 2022 Championship week on a two-match win streak after back-to-back shutouts over Middle Tennessee (3-0) and FIU (2-0).

FAU's last loss at the hands of LA Tech, 2-1, in Boca Raton. The two goals surrendered against LA Tech were the most since Sep. 8 against Memphis in a 3-0 loss. FAU has only allowed 16 goals this season while netting 27.

THE SERIES
This will be the eighth all-time meeting and the second this season for the Techsters and the Owls.
LA Tech won the meeting on Oct. 16, 2-1, in Boca Raton, marking the first-ever win for Tech against FAU on the road.
Before the 2021 season, LA Tech and FAU met in the 2019 season in Ruston, where Tech took a 1-0 overtime win before meeting in the Conference USA tournament. The Owls took that match 4-3 in penalty kicks after a double-overtime 0-0 draw.
Six of the seven matches between the two programs have resulted in a shutout. FAU leads the all-time goal count, 7-4.
The programs met one other time in the C-USA postseason back in 2016, in Charlotte, with FAU taking the match 3-0.
