Louisiana Tech Soccer Unveils 2026 Schedule

The Bulldogs’ 18-match regular season features 10 home fixtures and eight road tests in their inaugural season in the Sun Belt Conference.

RUSTON – Head coach Matt Lodge and Louisiana Tech soccer have announced their official schedule for the 2026 fall season. The upcoming year marks the beginning of a new era as Louisiana Tech joins the Sun Belt Conference.

Seven of the opponents on the Bulldogs' calendar are rematches from the 2025 season, four of which are SBC opponents. 16 of the 18 opponents have at least four previous meetings, and eight of the 10 SBC opponents have seen at least eight previous meetings.

Lodge, who is in his first year at the helm of the Bulldog soccer program, opens his team up with a pair of exhibition matches at home against Grambling (August 5) and on the road at Central Arkansas (August 8).

The regular season begins with a three-game home slate, with the 'Dogs hosting Nicholls (August 13), Southeastern Louisiana (August 16) and Lamar (August 20). Tech then heads to Texas for their first road trip, taking on Houston Christian (August 27) and Stephen F. Austin (August 30).

LA Tech returns to The Mack to host McNeese (September 3) followed with a road trip to Natchitoches for another in-state clash with Northwestern State (September 6).

The Bulldogs host Texas State (September 13) for the first time since 2018 before travelling to Huntington, West Virginia to face Marshall (September 19) in their first-ever Sun Belt contest. LA Tech's and Marshall's seven previous meetings have been as Conference USA opponents, and have not faced off since 2019.

Appalachian State (September 24) visits Ruston for the first time in program history for the Bulldogs' first SBC match on the home pitch before Tech takes a road trip to a more familiar opponent in Southern Miss (September 27) in Hattiesburg.

ULM (October 4), Arkansas State (October 11), Old Dominion (October 22) and South Alabama (November 1) closes out the home slate for Tech including road trips to Troy (October 8), James Madison (October 15) and UL-Lafayette (October 25). The Golden Eagles and Monarchs are also two programs that are former CUSA foes of the Bulldogs.

The SBC Championship is set to open on Monday, November 9 at Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Alabama with the quarterfinal round before the semifinal round taking place on Wednesday, November 11. The SBC Championship game is scheduled for Saturday, November 14.
