The Bulldogs (2-3-1) are traveling to Natchitoches after suffering a 0-2 loss to McNeese on Thursday night.
Despite being an hour and a half drive from Ruston to Natchitoches, the two teams have not played since 2022, when the Bulldogs lost 1-4 in Ruston. The last time the two teams faced off in Natchitoches was in 2021, ending in a 0-0 tie after two overtime periods.
The Demons (0-5-0) enter Sunday on a five-game losing streak, with a total goal differential of 2-26. The two goals have come from Iesha Rollins and Paige Baumgartner.
NSU is led by head coach Ian Brophy, who has brought the Demons to the Southland Conference Tournament each of the three years he has been head coach.
